Summer is here! (Apparently) because of this I felt the absolute need to buy a new blush!
I’m in love with peach whisper by Laura Mercier. At £18.50 it is a rare high end choice for me however its worth every penny which justifies the price (well for me anyway) its not highly pigmented and leaves a lovely subtle peach glow on the cheeks. Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser is the perfect for the summer months when you don’t want heavy foundation!
I am big on brows and have always believed the bigger the brows the better you look! The craze has finally hit the catwalk this spring summer with the explosion of my current girl crush and model of the moment Cara Delevingne it seems everyone has gone brow crazy.
It’s all about heavy but polished brows to help define the face. So step back from the tweezers and pick up my tried and tested brow definer to help you achieve fuller brows!
So in hopes to achieve brow perfection I have been on the constant hunt for the perfect product throughout the years. Naturally I tried many brands from high end to high street and various types of products from pencils, gels, wax and even eye shadow to determine what works best and help me in my ultimate goal to achieve brow success!
During my search I came across Maybelline Master Shape Brow and have to say I was amazingly surprised with the pencil meets wax consistency and with the natural look I was able to achieve it’s as if it actually draws on hairs for you instead of leaving harsh lines which is something I found happened frequently while testing many other eyebrow pencils in the past. It gains extra bonus points from me as this product is double ended with the wax pencil on one end and an eyebrow brush on the other which I love for convenience and giving me extra space in my make up case!
The deciding factor that has made this my go to brow definer was the price at £2.99 you simply cannot complain with the results this product gives you.
The only negative is the shade range as there is currently only two you can choose from which are dark blonde and soft brown. I ended up going with soft brown which was the perfect shade for me.
With my constant battle for “perfect skin” and having acne I’m always on the look out for new products that work best for my troublesome skin.
After finishing work one day I decided to take a leap of faith and try Bliss for the first time and of course I had to blog about my findings!
So I decided to go with 2 products:
Triple oxygen mask:
This made my skin feel great after the very first wash my skin looked noticeably brighter also. After reading many reviews this is apparently only temporary but ill take every second if that means brighter skin!
Peeling groovy facial serum:
With acne hopefully being a subject of the past for me I would have to say a major focus of mine is getting rid of my pigmented spots.
I have to say the texture of my skin is much smoother as living, working and studying in London has taken a toll on my skin for sure! TBC with this product to see if it helps with my pigmentation!
Yes I have caved and finally decided to purchase some NARS products thus changing my makeup routine completely! Nars sheer glow foundation has had rave reviews from both bloggers and industry professionals so this has been on my hit list for a while. I was super excited when I heard Nars had just brought out a translucent powder that added a glow to the skin! So I had to try this too along with the radiant concealer that has just hit the counters! Although I can’t comment on it (yet) I will keep you guys posted and do a final review on these products.
PROM QUEEN (The £100 challenge) This post was inspired by the prom event that took place this week for Topshop. It was such a great event to have been apart of and it truly gave me some real insight and valuable experience in what goes into an event from start to finish. So with that said and prom season in full swing I have put together an outfit that is a real mix of whimsical and edgy pieces to give inspiration to any one attending their prom this year! Forget ankle length drab dresses and mix up your prom look with a classic girly prom dress and flip it by teaming it with an oversized denim jacket and finish the look with boots to add a little extra something! Everything you see above is available at Topshop with each item under £100!!
Former cast member if E4’s hit reality TV series “Made in Chelsea” Alice sits down with us and talks about life beyond the royal burgh of the Chelsea streets
As short as her appearance may have been on the show its apparent that the former made in Chelsea star still fully intends to make her mark but within the fashion industry. Currently studying at the London College of fashion Alice tells us “my ultimate goal is to do what you guys are doing” her path seems to be set as she adds “I would see myself as an editor’s assistant.
Wearing one of the best selling pieces to come out of Vivienne Westword 1994 collection Alice promotes the British designer with the patent ankle boots seen on Alice on the 3rd series of Made in Chelsea, she commented on her own personal style and love of the designer telling us “she’s an inspiration” she loves the fact that Vivienne Westwod is a British designer. Wearing a casual mix of high end to high street she mentioned that she had “no preference on what area or what store she shops in”
Alice looks back on her time on MIC as a “valuable experience” but it’s clear that although she looks back fondly on her days on the series and reminisces about sunning it up with all expenses paid trips abroad and nights at the opera surrounded by the socialites which Chelsea seems to ooze Alice is now focussed on her future not as a reality TV star but as an industry professional.
